When did you first hear about Covid-19?

 

A year ago, in January 2020, reports began to filter through about a new respiratory virus circulating in Wuhan, China. The consequent devastating global impact of the virus was at that point both unimaginable and largely unexpected.

NHS Voices of Covid-19 have been recording interviews capturing first hand experiences of the impact of Covid-19 on people in the UK, from NHS staff to people at home shielding. The 1000 plus recordings conducted during this crisis document in real time the pandemic unfolding, from the mundane and everyday to the harrowing and devastating, creating a historical record for now and the future.
